“We are excited about the opportunity of bringing Legacy Hospice into the New Century Hospice family and to serving a growing number of patients and families in Colorado Springs and Denver“, said David Gasmire, New Century Hospice Chairman and CEO. “Legacy’s founders and staff have a focus on quality care and compliance, combined with a culture of service and teamwork, which make it a perfect fit for what we continue to build at New Century Hospice”, he said. “This has been a big decision for us and we feel that it is a solid strategic move that will benefit the communities we serve and all of our staff members to become part of the New Century Hospice family”, said Lora Merkling, founder and CEO of Legacy Hospice.

“We are very excited to be in Colorado and look forward to continuing to serve the community in the fine tradition that Legacy has established”, said Jerry Lyden, New Century Hospice President and COO.

Legacy Hospice will begin doing business as New Century Hospice of Colorado Springs and New Century Hospice of Denver after an undisclosed time of transition and integration.
