After reporting fourth-quarter and full-year earnings last week, Goldcorp CEO Chuck Jeannes joins Kitco News to talk about the company’s Cerro Negro mine in Argentina, which was hit hard by over $2 billion in impairment charges. According to Jeannes, operations will continue at the South American mine. “Cerro Negro will be a long-term cornerstone mine for us,” he says. Jeannes also touches on the company’s other new mine, the Eleonore mine located in northern Quebec, which he says has the potential to be Canada’s top producing mine, once it hits full production in a few years. Tune in as we wind down our coverage of the BMO Global Metals & Mining Conference. Kitco News, February 25, 2015.
