NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, LLC, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems, Inc. (QSII), recently announced that it has achieved full accreditation with the Practice Management System Accreditation Program (PMSAP) from the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC).
NextGen Practice Management (PM), which has been awarded the much coveted accreditation, is a set of IT tools that helps practices improve operational outcomes and maintain compliance.
The NextGen PM operates as an integrated solution along with NextGen Ambulatory EHR, Patient Portal, Optical Management, Document Management, and other Healthcare solutions.
The PMSAP accreditation by EHNAC mainly serves as a third-party review. Also, it imparts additional confidence to the community of providers during the course of the evaluation process of PMS system vendors.
During the course of the review process, NextGen Healthcare was evaluated by EHNAC in certain areas which includes privacy, security, mandated standards and operating rules, and key operational functions.
The program, which was jointly developed with the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI), assessed NextGen Healthcare’s health information and oversight for meeting privacy and security, HIPAA and ACA requirements. The program also took into account the company’s technical performance, business processes and resource management expertise.
We believe this accreditation will generate ample confidence among NextGen Healthcare’s growing client base. This should, in turn, drive significant top-line growth at Quality Systems.
