SAP Best Practices Package to Simplify Transition to Cloud

Zacks

SAP SE (SAP) launched new SAP Best Practices packages to facilitate easy integration and transition of customers’ data to the cloud. These packages will make deployment of SuccessFactors HCM Suite simple and straightforward.

Companies are becoming increasingly aware of the immense potential of cloud solutions like SAP’s SuccessFactors solutions for their human resources (HR) processes. Nevertheless, they find it challenging to integrate their existing HR systems with the cloud and require support in shifting from on-premise installations into the cloud.

Solutions like SAP Best Practices and SAP Rapid Deployment will support hybrid integration scenarios and enable clients to shift to the cloud, at the same time preserving the value of former investments on premise.

Included in SAP ERP HCM packages are SAP Best Practices for SuccessFactors Compensation and SAP Best Practices for SuccessFactors Recruiting. The former helps customers implement compensation management processes in a hybrid HR environment, while the latter develops and extends core competence with recruitment practices in SuccessFactors solutions. The company also launched SAP Best Practices for SuccessFactors Employee Central, which has been designed to facilitate HR business execution in the cloud while accelerating deployment of core HR process.

The SAP Best Practices, based on pre-configured content for cloud solutions from SAP, will help clients speed up their cloud projects. This way, they can cost-effectively deploy new enterprise solutions and onboarding to the cloud with significantly accelerated time to value and also capitalize on the scalability and built-in innovations of the solutions.

The company has been undertaking initiatives to expand its user base, including its recent announcement to acquire Concur Technologies Inc. (CNQR) for $8.3 billion. The strategic move will give SAP access to over 50 million users in the cloud, which exceeds the user base of any enterprise cloud company. The deal will expand SAP’s network in the $1.2 trillion corporate travel spectrum, while increasing its focus on building network-based, context-aware mobile applications.

SAP currently holds a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell), while Concur sports a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). Some better-ranked companies in the computer software industry include Advent Software, Inc. (ADVS) and MicroStrategy Inc. (MSTR), both carrying a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy).
