Leading U.S. homebuilding company, KB Home (KBH) recently announced the opening of a new community called La Ventana in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Prices of La Ventana homes start from $800,000s. It will offer larger homes, which is in line with the company’s strategy of driving the average selling prices higher.
Located at the base of the San Bernardino Mountain range, the La Ventana community will accommodate 76 single family homes and offer floor plans for one and two-story homes. These homes can accommodate up to six bedrooms, five and a half baths, and three-car garages.
All homes are Energy Star certified and include WaterSense labeled faucets and fixtures and solar power systems, which will help residents save on utility bills. La Ventana community residents will enjoy close proximity to Metrolink stations, the Ontario International Airport, entertainment and shopping centers, Victoria Gardens, Ontario Mills malls and the Citizens Business Bank Arena. This justifies the company’s decision to open a community in this area.
The introduction of the new community follows the company’s strategy of increasing community count in fiscal 2014. With the housing market stabilizing, the company has been rolling out communities in highly favorable submarkets, primarily in the Central and West Coast regions, which allow it to sell larger, higher priced homes.
