Kitco News is back from the Cayman Islands and kicks of the week with none other than Frank Holmes on this latest edition of “Gold Game Film.” Holmes comments on gold’s price uptick late last week as well as the latest news coming out of China. “Following what’s taking place in China – dropping interest rates – that is significant and that is a big trend reversal,” he says. Holmes also comments on some opportunities and threats, which include increasing silver coin sales in the U.S. as well as decreases in gold production figures. He also has interesting comments on the Dutch Central Bank’s decision to repatriate its gold to Amsterdam. However, he thinks investors should really be looking to the U.S. economy for clues. “What’s really important to look at is the 10-year government bond and the 5-year government bond,” he says.
