After a lengthy vetting process, The M&A Source named Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University as academic provider for their large membership base. Through this partnership, the unique Coles M&A Academy will provide various continuing education programs and resources, including a special certificate-based program designed exclusively for M&A Source members and prospective members. The certificate program will focus on analytical and business tools needed to lead M&A Source professionals and their clients through successful M&A transactions from strategy assessment to valuation, diligence, tax planning, and post-deal integration.

“The M&A Source provides opportunities for M&A practitioners to learn more about the profession, improve key skills, and become more valuable to clients.” said Gary Papay, CBI, M&AMI, CMEA, president of CK Business Consultants and current Secretary of The M&A Source. “I personally worked on the team that selected Coles College and am very confident that the Coles M&A Academy curriculum will enhance the breadth of education The M&A Source already makes available to its members.”

“Coles College has a strong commitment to the support of mid-career managerial and executive education,” said Mike Salvador, Co-Director of the Academy and Director of Executive Education Programs at Coles College of Business. “This partnership will assure that the dedicated professionals who comprise The M&A Source membership will have access to focused and up-to-date skills development in the complex world of the M&A transaction.”

The M&A Source certification program is expected to be offered twice annually as a five-day intensive workshop, with the first session targeted for March 2015. The Coles M&A Academy will continue to offer their existing programs to professionals outside of The M&A Source membership, with the next six-day session starting in December 2014.
