UTC Aerospace Systems, a part of United Technologies Inc (UTX), was recently selected by Integrated Surveillance and Defense (ISD) for the supply of its Cloud Cap Technology TASE 400 imaging payloads for the U.S. Navy.
ISD specializes in airborne and ground systems engineering, logistics and management services. The low SWaP (size, weight and power) series of camera gimbals feature advanced optics, making them well suited for the U.S. Navy with a turn-key ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) platform. It offers high-performance advanced daytime and night-time imagery for supporting multi-mission capabilities.
The lower weight combined with minimum power requirements result in increased load and mission performance. This advanced technology and support system is likely to help combat both land and sea based missions in a much more effective manner.
