Ryland Homes, Inc. (RYL) recently announced the opening of two fully decorated townhomes models — Tydings and Tilden model homes — at Hyett’s Crossing Community in Middletown, DE.

The Tydings model homes, stretched across 1,712 square feet of living space, feature 1-car garage, 3 bedrooms and 2½ bathrooms and are priced at $200 and above. On the other hand, the Tilden model homes stretched across 1,852 square feet of living space featuring 1-car garage, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and are priced from $220s upwards.

Ryland plans to open three additional model homes in the community by the end of the year. The community at Hyett’s Crossing offers 400 homesites for townhomes, twin homes and single-family homes. The townhomes at Hyett’s provide the convenience of proximity to Wilmington and Philadelphia, as well as popular shops, restaurants and entertainment destinations in Middletown.

The community at Hyett’s is one of the eight luxurious communities of townhomes and single-family homes introduced by Ryland in the Philadelphia metro region last week.

The other seven communities include The Villages at Washington Square in Deptford, NJ, Meridian Crossing in Bear, DE, Rivercrest in New Castle, DE, Somerton Valley in Trevose, PA, Mercer Court in Fairless Hills, PA, The Reserve at Rose Tree in Media, PA and Willowbrook at Moorestown, NJ. All these communities offer the convenience of city life as well as proximity to nature.

The homebuilding industry rebounded in Aug 2014 as housing starts surged to an 8-month high indicating that builders are upbeat about future sales. Accelerating job growth and increasing consumer confidence are boosting the demand for new homes. In order to cater to the increasing demand, homebuilders like Lennar Corp. (LEN), Pulte Group Inc. (PHM) and NVR Inc. (NVR) are investing heavily in building homes.

Ryland Homes carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).
