PR Newswire

LOS ANGELES, July 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Common Interest Communities, the company that develops link systems for communities of common interests, today announced that it has agreed to acquire BSY Hostels, Ghana for an undisclosed sum. BSY has recently won the contract to build and operate the first on campus development of student housing at the Takoradi Polytechnic in Takoradi, the capital of the Western region of Ghana. The Polytechnic was established in 1954 and was upgraded to a tertiary institution in 1992. The acquisition is in line with Common Interest Communities roll out strategy. Common Interest Communities’ link system revolutionises the operation of student housing through its touch screen in-room technology that links all students commanding greater socialisation, interaction and delivering a true student experience while allowing the college and accommodation to interface seamlessly.

Philip Marley commented “Our technology is distributed directly into buildings for communities of common interest. BSY Hostels, the hostel and student housing operator, is well positioned in the emerging student housing market in Ghana to support the roll out of our system. Ghana has an exceptional economy with a growing higher education sector. BSY are actively working with academic institutions across Ghana to build and operate on-campus student housing facilities. Ghana is a blank canvass for student housing; we can be very creative and forward thinking, and operate student housing with the greatest technology creating true communities”.
