SOMERS, N.Y., July 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — We are pleased to announce Orthopaedic Associates of Central Maryland Surgery Center (“OACM”) and the Ellicott City Ambulatory Surgery Center (“EC”) have merged and will be operating out of Ellicott City Maryland.

The OACM/EC merger is a joint venture between Merritt Healthcare and 14 leading Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine, Hand, Spine, Pain, GYN, and GI physician partners. The Facility will also accommodate the specialties of general surgery and ophthalmology and will maintain its State license, Medicare Certification, and Accreditation by the AAAHC. The Ellicott City facility contains 4 operating rooms and 1 procedure room.

Merritt Healthcare is an owner operated developer and manager of ambulatory surgery center with 10 ASCs under management or currently under development.
