Pablo Walker Promoted as President of McCann Worldgroup Europe

McCann Worldgroup, part of The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. (IPG), recently promoted Pablo Walker as the President of McCann Worldgroup Europe from the post of President of McCann Worldgroup Latin America & Caribbean. Fernando Fascioli, the former CEO of McCann Worldgroup Chile, was chosen as the successor of Walker.

Interpublic intends to use Walker’s experience to leverage multiplatform capabilities to benefit its clients. Also, Fascioli’s knowledge of the entire Latin American and Caribbean region, along with a solid aptitude for managing clients, has initiated the promotion.

Walker’s association with the company spans over two decades, during which he worked in different regions, driving its growth. With the experience and capabilities of both leaders, the company is expected to touch new horizons of success.

McCann Worldgroup was created in 1997 to align McCann Erickson and provide complementary services, transform client brands and grow their businesses. The group now operates in more than 100 countries and includes McCann Erickson, MRM, Momentum, McCann Healthcare, EXP, UM, Weber Shandwick and FutureBrand.

Interpublic is expected to release fiscal second-quarter results (ended Jun 30, 2014) on Jul 18. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the soon-to-be-reported quarter is pegged at 25 cents, reflecting year-over-year growth of 39.7%.

With a market capitalization of $8.1 billion, Interpublic holds a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). Some better-ranked stocks in the industry include Huron Consulting Group Inc. (HURN), Omnicom Group Inc. (OMC), and Stantec Inc. (STN). While Huron Consulting sports a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), Omnicom and Stantec hold a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) each.
