This summer, it is raining gifts for Time Warner Cable Inc. (TWC) customers. This leading cable multi service operator (MSO) is offering Dell laptops and gift cards to both existing and new customers with selected service renovation and subscriptions.
This is part of a special promotion in association with Dell, whereby Time Warner Cable will be giving out Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Series 2-in-1 laptops and a $100 Dell gift card to its customers. This offer will be applicable till Oct 19, 2014.
The Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Series 2-in-1 laptop will compliment the TV viewing experience for Time Warner Cable customers. It will allow them to watch nearly 300 live TV channels and over 5,000 On Demand TV shows through the TWC TV app.
For Time Warner Cable customers, the ‘My Account’ service facility is also available in the Dell 2-in-1 laptop so that they can connect to TWC WiFi hotspots.
We believe this promotional strategy will help the company increase average revenue per user and also reduce churn rate. In first-quarter 2014, Time Warner Cable significantly narrowed its residential video customer loss to 34,000 from 217,000 in the fourth-quarter of 2013. Notably, this figure marks the lowest loss in the last five years. The company has also witnessed considerable subscriber addition for its broadband and digital phone services.
