“These hotels represent the third and fourth properties that Sage manages for RLJ, and it was a very successful collaboration to acquire this off market opportunity,” said Michael Everett, Chief Investment Officer at Sage. “We are excited to continue managing the Courtyard Portland City Center and we look forward to continuing our growth in California.”

The Embassy Suites Irvine further extends Sage’s presence in Southern California after the February opening of the new SpringHill Suites Downtown Oceanside and the longstanding management contract of the Hilton Del Mar/San Diego. The Embassy Suites is one of the premier suite hotels in Irvine and is only one mile from John Wayne/Orange County Airport. Offering a home away from home that’s nearby to attractions such as Disneyland Resort, University of California-Irvine and the Anaheim Convention Center, the full service hotel also boasts the Embassy Suites’ complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast and a full bar with snacks at the Evening Reception.

The Courtyard Portland City Center is housed inside a former office building that was redeveloped and Marriott branded by Sage. The hotel provides a boutique experience in the downtown Portland landscape. It is the first LEED Certified Gold Courtyard in the United States and features Urban550, with 5,300 square feet of hip meeting space, perfect for events in need of a creative touch. Adjacent to the hotel is The Original Dinerant, an original concept by Sage Restaurant Group and restaurateur Peter Karpinski.
