IRVINE, Calif. and SEATTLE, May 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm based in Irvine, Calif., and Connell Design Group of Seattle today announced a merger of their firms. The move gives Ware Malcomb a new presence in the Pacific Northwest and brings the total number of Ware Malcomb regional offices spanning the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Panama to 15. The transaction also bolsters the architecture and design capabilities of the combined office to better serve corporate and commercial real estate clients in the Seattle market. Terms of the transaction, which closed last month, were not disclosed.

Connell Design Group was founded in 1990 with a focus on interior architecture and design for commercial tenant offices, retail spaces, medical and dental clinics, and industrial facilities. The merger with Ware Malcomb will expand the firm’s depth of resources to include planning, exterior architecture, graphic design, civil engineering and more.

The Seattle office is located at 22002 64^th Avenue West, Suite 2C in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. Alan Lambert, President and General Manager of Connell Design, will take on the role of Regional Director of the combined office, and Cindy Kang, LEED AP, will serve as Studio Manager for interior architecture and design services.
