Peter Hug is on Kitco News to talk gold prices as China’s PMI numbers came out Tuesday and how he thinks Friday’s U.S. jobs report may affect the metal. “[The gold market] still looks heavy,” Hug says. “If copper starts to turn, then I would be a bit more fundamentally convicted towards gold.” Looking over at silver, Hug says that he will be eyeing the industrial metals if investor sentiment leans towards improving economic conditions and growth. “If you believe that this Chinese PMI number is an indicator of a trend that we’re now turning the corner in China, I would be interested in looking at the industrial metals — again, copper and to some extent silver.” Tune in now to hear Hug’s key levels this week for gold and silver.
