Alamos Ready to Deal In ’14 But There Has To Be Good Value: CEO McCluskey | BMO Conference

John McClusky, president and CEO of Alamos Gold sits down with Kitco News’ Daniela Cambone at the BMO Metals & Mining Conference in Hollywood, Florida and talks about how busy the company was in 2013, as it took over two companies. Although the company is ready to do more deals in 2014, he said they have to see value. Looking at Turkey, McClusky says the company is ready to break ground on their projects; however, the recent political turmoil in the nation has caused some delays. “There is going to be two elections, one in the spring and another one in the fall. I think until those elections are through we aren’t going to be able to make any progress in Turkey,” he says. Looking at the gold market, McClusky said that he is feeling more optimistic about the gold market but he not looking for a fast turnaround.
