The Procter & Gamble Company (PG) recently introduced a new line of male grooming products called Gillette BODY. These new products include a specially designed Gillette BODY Razor, Gillette BODY Non-Foaming Shave Gel and Gillette BODY 2-in-1 Wash & Shave. Gillette BODY products are now available at food, drug and mass merchandise stores in the U.S.
Gillette is one of the 25 billion dollar grooming brands of Procter & Gamble. These new grooming products are particularly designed for male body shaving. With the recent increase in male grooming habits, there is a growing demand for products designed specifically for the male population. The new razor features a rounded head, three lubricating strips, an ergonomic anti slip grip, three floating blades and a forward pivoting head to ensure safer and smoother body shaving. Therefore, this new razor would address the needs of male body shaving.
Procter & Gamble is a global leader in the blades and razors market and commands over 20% share of the global shaving market. The company is also known for its impressive product development capabilities and marketing prowess. The company believes that continued demand for its brands and products is the key to future profitability. Thus, in order to maintain its brand appeal, the company focuses on innovation and expansion of its product portfolio. The company believes that consistent product innovations, supported by strong marketing and commercialization, will deliver strong results over the long term. In line with its marketing strategies, the company will release a series of “How To Shave” videos on the brands’ YouTube page to promote the new products.
