In an attempt to gain higher market share, water solutions provider, Xylem Inc. (XYL) has been launching products. Recently, the company launched plumbing products at the 2014 Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.
These products will enable owners to lower the costs and negative environmental impacts. The company has revamped the existing Bell & Gossett brand Series 1510 pump and renamed it as e-1510. The product reduces electricity consumption, lowers lifecycle costs and improves system performance. To suit its customers, Xylem is offering e-1510 in 26 sizes, along with several configuration options.
Additionally, Xylem launched the Bell & Gossett brand ecocirc XL large wet rotor circulator pumps. The product is designed to lower system downtime and increase operational efficiency. The pump also reduces setup and installation time by displaying useful information to the user.
The company has been launching products to enhance its sales. In Oct 2013, Xylem added e-HM – a stainless steel, energy-efficient pump under the Goulds Water Technology brand. The pump, expected to be 30% more efficient than other available variants, will be used for commercial and industrial applications.
In Aug 2013, Xylem unveiled an extension of its WEDECO disinfection systems. The WEDECO ultraviolet disinfection solutions are specifically developed for the tank-based aquaculture industry.
With the continuous product launches, we expect the company to generate higher revenues in the upcoming quarters. Xylem is expected to release the fourth-quarter 2013 results on Feb 4. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the same stands at 52 cents.
With a current market capitalization of $6.6 billion, Xylem has a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). Some better-ranked stocks worth a watch in the industry include The Middleby Corporation (MIDD), Altra Industrial Motion Corp. (AIMC) and Gorman-Rupp Co. (GRC). All these stocks carry a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
