SOUTHLAKE, Texas, Dec. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Andrews Logistics, an asset-based transportation and logistics company specializing in bulk liquid and hazardous materials transport, has acquired Andrews Transport LP, a bulk liquid petroleum and chemical products transportation provider based in Fort Worth, Texas. As a result of the acquisition, Andrews Logistics will add approximately 115 employees in Texas and Louisiana, as well as a roster of premier petrochemical customers.

Andrews Transport was formed in 1980 and is owned by Bill and Gary Andrews. Andrews Logistics was established in 1997 and is owned by J. Darron Eschle and Brian Jarvis. The companies serve the same industries and markets and share a similar focus on safety and service.

This acquisition increases our ability to service a great customer base we both already have in place,” said Eschle, chairman and CEO of Andrews Logistics. “We’re now more diversified and better able to create a stronger and more comprehensive corporate and operational structure. As a result, we’ll be one of the strongest players in the bulk liquid and dedicated contract service industry.”

Andrews Transport was recognized by the National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC) for having an outstanding safety record and has received numerous awards of recognition from the states where it operates. Similarly, Andrews Logistics is consistently praised as one of the safest tank-truck carriers in the country by the National Tank Truck Association (NTTA) and is the youngest company to ever win the NTTA’s Overall Top Safety Award.

“The Andrews family’s core values of business ethics, integrity, work ethic, safety and service are what we founded Andrews Logistics on as well, which makes our joint operation a perfect fit from a philosophical and efficiency viewpoint,” said Jarvis, president and COO of Andrews Logistics.

All corporate office functions will be consolidated into Andrews Logistics’ Southlake, Texas headquarters. The acquisition expands Andrews Logistics’ terminals in Texas with the addition of facilities in Diboll, Tyler and Beaumont. Some Andrews Transport terminals will be combined with nearby Andrews Logistics facilities. This includes Andrews Transport’s Houston terminal and Andrews Logistics’ terminal in Deer Park, Texas. The Fort Worth, Texas, Andrews Transport terminal will be combined with Andrews Logistics’ Dallas location. The terminals each company operates in Baton Rouge, Louisiana will also be combined.
