Leading ADHD and Autism Camp Announces New Management Team

Talisman Summer Camp for autistic and ADHD children now owned by camp leadership

ASHEVILLE, N.C., Dec. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Talisman, an autism camp with ADHD and special needs programming, is pleased to announce it is continuing operations under new ownership with no interruption of programming for the 2014 season. After sixteen successful summers as a program of Aspen Education Group, a division of CRC Health Group, Talisman has changed into some very familiar hands.

Douglas Smathers, current director, and Linda Tatsapaugh, former director, are now owners and operators of the summer camp for autistic, Asperger and ADHD children and young adults. Douglas will continue to run a very successful and exciting camp program while Linda will utilize her years of experience to manage operations and new programming.

Robiyn Mims, formerly of Talisman Academy and also a former Talisman camp director, joins as the admissions director. This Talisman leadership group has 15 years of Talisman Summer Camp experience and over 50 years serving special needs children.

Talisman Summer Camp offers a traditional camp experience for special needs children and young adults ages 8 – 24. Boys, girls, young men, and young women from around the world gather at the leading autism camp and special need camp to have fun, share memories, and gain life skills.
