DHX Media to Acquire Family Channel, Disney XD, and Disney Junior from Bell Media

TORONTO, Nov. 28, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ – Bell Media today announced that it
has entered into an agreement with Halifax-based DHX Media Ltd. (TSX:
DHX) for the sale of its television services Family Channel, Disney XD,
Disney Junior (English-language), and Disney Junior (French-language).

The transaction is subject to approval by the Canadian Radio-television
and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) and the Competition Bureau.

DHX Media’s acquisition of Family, Disney XD, and English- and
French-language Disney Junior is a result of Bell Media’s process of
divesting some properties to comply with regulatory body conditions
attached to the July 5, 2013 acquisition of Astral Media Inc. by Bell.
