BOSTON, Nov. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Mobiquity (www.mobiquityinc.com), a mobile engagement provider creating innovative solutions that drive business value, today announced the acquisition of enterprise mobile applications provider Mobility Effect. The acquisition extends Mobiquity’s ability to provide mobile strategy, user experience, and application development services to clients in Chicago and the Midwest region.

Mobiquity also announced that Dallas-based Carlos Villarreal will be joining as General Manager. Villarreal will be responsible for building strong account teams in Dallas, Chicago, and throughout the Central/Midwest United States to extend Mobiquity’s delivery capabilities and customer service.

“We have identified talents and assets that will allow us to meet growing customer demand for strategic mobile services and expertise in Chicago and Dallas,” said Mobiquity CEO Bill Seibel. “Mobility Effect shares the same focus and passion we have for building enterprise-class mobile applications, and Carlos’s ability to develop successful teams will be incredibly valuable as we move into a new phase of growth.”

Mobility Effect offers end-to-end mobility professional services across all mobile application technologies, including native apps, HTML5 and mobile web. Its Enterprise Mobility Strategy engagements have helped clients such as Toll Brothers homebuilders and Salt River Project (SRP) utilities lay the foundation of their mobility programs. Mobility Effect CEO Michael Shea will join Mobiquity as Principal Strategist, expanding the Philadelphia office and reporting to co-founder and president Scott Snyder.

Villarreal will lead the Central U.S. team at Mobiquity. He previously served as Vice President Consulting Services for GlassHouse Technologies. He has also served in various management capacities at Accenture, Cambridge Technology Partners, Breakaway Solutions, The Socius Group (which he co-founded) and Electronic Data Systems. Villarreal has a passion for excellence in customer delivery and growing regional, national and worldwide consulting practices.

Expansion into Chicago and Dallas follows a pattern of consistent growth for Mobiquity. In October 2013 Mobiquity announced its expansion into Europe with an office in the Netherlands, which followed regional U.S. offices in Gainesville, Florida and San Francisco during the year. Founded in 2011, the company’s revenues increased 600 percent over its first full year (2012), and continue to grow rapidly, with Q3 2013 representing its best quarter to date. Mobiquity’s employee count is expected to reach over 300 by the end of 2013.
