FARGO, N.D., Sept. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — U-Haul Company of Fargo proudly announces three new expansions with the acquisition of new properties being named U-Haul Moving and Storage of Fargo, U-Haul Moving and Storage of Fargo–South plus, an additional abutting parcel for growth. The new properties will provide local do-it-yourself customers with more than 65,000 square feet of net rentable self-storage right in their community.

U-Haul Moving and Storage of Fargo, purchased from BTE Rentals & Storage, is located at 610 42^nd Street in Fargo, N.D. and stands on a 1.85-acre lot. The site features six single-story self-storage buildings, for a total 29,654 square feet of net rentable space. The facility offers 211 outdoor drive-up loading/unloading rooms. Services including extended office hours, no deposit or administration fees, free online account management are just some of the features that will make this a go-to location for the surrounding neighborhood.

The U-Haul Storage of Fargo-South, also purchased from BTE Rentals & Storage, is located at 5523 53^rd Ave. S., Fargo, N.D. Included in the purchase is a third acquisition of an adjacent 3.67-acre parcel for future expansion. Currently the facility offers six single-story self-storage buildings with more than 46,520 net rentable square feet and one single-story building providing 1,719 net rentable square feet for office space. The site provides 229 self-storage rooms including five climate-controlled rooms for customers who are looking for the ideal solution for storing their personal or business-related items.

“When looking for a self-storage provider, families can enjoy the finest in moving and self-storage services with increased convenience and shorter distance to travel from their office or home,” Odden continued. “Customers who rent a U-Haul moving van, trailer or U-Box moving pod for a one-way move can now enjoy one month of free storage before or after their move,” he offered.

Both U-Haul Fargo facilities will offer traditional equipment truck and trailer rentals but also will be selling a wide variety of environmentally friendly packing supplies: boxes made out of recyclable materials, 100 percent biodegradable packing peanuts and moving pads made from recycled denim. Also on site will be a Take a Box/Leave a Box display, which allows customers or anyone in the community to leave moving boxes or unwanted electronic boxes for the next customer to reuse for free, instead of throwing them away or recycling them.
