QuickLogic Corporation (QUIK) recently announced that it has partnered with G’Five – a leading consumer electronics company in China – to supply ArcticLink III BX Customer Specific Standard Products (CSSPs) for its next tablet design. The ArcticLink III BX device primarily provides a display interface bridging solution.
The display interface bridging system facilitates designers in using component parts having incompatible processor and display interface standards, to communicate with each other.
QuickLogic’s CSSPs will enable G’Five to bridge between Broadcom Corp.’s (BRCM) 21663 application processor and the RGB (red, green, blue) display in its forthcoming tablet design.
QuickLogic’s solutions are ideal for bellwether design houses such as G’Five, which require cost-effective and low-risk devices equipped with the necessary features. QuickLogic’s CSSP solution satisfies all the requirements of G’Five as regards cost, capability, power consumption and ease-of-integration. Notably, the solutions consume less power – which is the most desired quality for all modern mobile devices today.
Last month, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. (SSNLF) revealed that it too uses QuickLogic’s ArcticLink III VX CSSP for its GALAXY Tab 3 7.0 tablet.
QuickLogic’s CSSPs have immense popularity in the semi-conductor market. The growing demand for custom and catalog CSSPs in Asia compelled the company to also open a new support center in South Korea.
QuickLogic invents and offers customer-friendly software solutions to mobile and portable electronics Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs). CSSPs allow manufacturers to produce customized products that can be launched quickly and have a wider market presence.
