CSC will leverage its Horizon services to help the federal government under the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM), Tools and Continuous Monitoring as a Service (CMaaS), contract. As per the CDM program, federal agencies acquire tools and services related to constantly monitor and enhance their network security.
Computer Sciences Corporation’s Horizon, part of the CSC Managed Security Services unit, is a comprehensive managed security service that enables organizations to monitor and identify security threats in the system network and mitigate the risk quickly.
Computer Sciences Corporation had recently added Horizon to its Managed Security Service (MSS). The solution regulates the privacy and protection of information, reducing the risk of maintaining large data volumes.
Horizon simplifies the compliance process by bringing compliance solutions under one umbrella (customers often procure these security solutions from multiple vendors). Therefore, it helps the customers to bring down the total IT cost.
Apart from this, Computer Sciences’ IT and management consulting services advise clients on acquisitions, IT security, strategy and business process re-engineering. The company also licenses sophisticated software systems for the financial services markets and provides a broad array of e-business solutions that cater to the needs of large commercial and government clients.

However, the market is getting more competitive, as companies like CACI International Inc. (CACI), Accenture plc (ACN) and Syntel Inc. (SYNT) make their presence felt. Moreover, the macroeconomic conditions in Europe remain challenging. Delays in the government’s order renewal process could also add to its woes.
