In an attempt to provide easy and quick access to services and information regarding the recycling of resources, Sonoco Recycling, LLC – a unit of Sonoco Products Co. (SON) – has launched www.sonocorecycling.com. This microsite will allow visitors to connect through various devices, including mobile phones and tablets.
The website features a contract form for enquiries. Once the form is submitted, customers will get updates on new locations’ database, an Education page, and an animated video. The site will help Sonoco's customers including the municipality, CPG (consumer packaged goods), government agency or grocery store chains to locate the closest recycling facilities as well as latest techniques.
In addition, the website contains a home page that repeatedly changes content to familiarize customers with available services and resources or news announcements. It also features a service launch pad comprising a list of the top industries and markets which are served by Sonoco Recycling to make relevant content available to customers.
The site is also useful for teachers, parents and kids, who will be able to know about recyclables through special videos including the Green Steps curriculum for environmental education. The visitors will also able to note upcoming events, such as trade shows, recycling drives and educational events through a database-driven event calendar.
Sonoco, which belongs to the containers and packaging industry along with Sealed Air Corporation (SEE), AptarGroup, Inc. (ATR) and Bemis Company, Inc (BMS), recently launched a new Envoy Diagnostic insulated shipping solution to ensure temperature control for diagnostic kits, blood samples and other diagnostic specimens.
