Ford Motor Co. (F) is seeking to regain the lost glory of its Lincoln line by offering enhanced design, quality and personal service. Few months after launching the redesigned Lincoln MKZ, the automaker has now introduced the Lincoln Black Label, an assortment of limited edition, premium exterior and interior themes.
The new themes will be available in the market by the end of 2014. Ford previewed three themes under the Lincoln Black Label on the revamped MKZ and the MKC Concept car.
The first theme, christened Centre Stage as it takes inspiration from fashion and theater, offers jet black interiors highlighted by a Foxfire Red headliner. The doors and seats are made of Alcantara suede and carry distinctive perforation designs. The whole theme intends to replicate the experience of being in a dark theatre.
Chocolate aficionados will like the premium chocolate-inspired Indulgence theme featuring ganache- and truffle-colored Venetian leather with a delicate antiqued finish. The theme also introduces Ziricote wood, generally used in high-end yachts, in automobiles.
The third theme, Modern Heritage, offers a clean and modern take on the classic black-and-white interior with understated red highlights. The soft white interiors are tastefully highlighted with wood trim that has metal flakes between its layers to create a dazzling effect.
Lincoln MKZ will be available in all three themes – Centre Stage with Black Tie exterior, Indulgence with Chroma Couture exterior and Modern Heritage with Confidential White tri-coat exterior and Vianca interiors. However, the MKC Concept car offers only the Modern Heritage theme with Chroma Flame exterior.
To provide a personalized and stable experience to clients, Lincoln will introduce a range of superior customer services with the launch of the Black Label. Moreover, Black label experts will provide personalized assistance to every prospective client to enhance their shopping and selection experience. In order to offer this experience to all its clients, Ford will eventually provide these themes with all Lincoln models.
Ford currently carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). Other major automobile stocks worth considering are General Motors Company (GM), Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. (NSANY) and Volkswagen AG (VLKAY). Nissan and Volkswagen carry a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) while General Motors carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
