Platinum To Outperform Gold Says TD Securities – Kitco News

Kitco News speaks with TD Securities’ Head of Commodity Strategy Bart Melek about gold and silver prices as well as his positive outlook for platinum. As investors await Fed tapering, Melek says the market is now “comfortable” with the idea and expects upside in the coming days. “However, gold continues to be in a bear market longer term because we expect yields to increase,” he says. With regards to platinum, Melek expects the metal to outperform gold mainly because fundamentals for platinum will tighten up and lead to deficits for the next few years. “We think there will be scarcity for platinum,” he adds.
