Briggs & Stratton’s Ethanol-free Fuel

Zacks

In an attempt to improve health of gasoline engines, Briggs & Stratton Corporation (BGG) has introduced ethanol-free fuel. With the help of this advanced formula comprising synthetic oil and stabilizer, 2 and 4 cycle engines will run smoother.

The gasoline used on a regular basis containing more than 10% ethanol fuel such as E15 or E85, is harmful for engines. This ethanol-blended fuel attracts moisture affecting power and mileage of engines which causes severe damages. It also increases fuel consumption resulting in frequent maintenance and repair. This will inflate repair costs as well as decrease in the performance of engines.

Briggs & Stratton’s ethanol-free fuel is the newest development in fuel treatment. This fuel will not only help in maintaining health of engines, but also save consumers’ time and money. Further, it will also help in maximizing storage life of fuel in small engine applications.

Premium, engineered fuel ingredients including synthetic oil and stabilizer will work together to reduce carburetor corrosion and gum and varnish build-up, which will ultimately reduce cost of repairing small engines.

The engineered fuel is a ready-to-use solution having three different blended fuel ratios to meet specific needs of consumers. A combination of ethanol-free fuel, synthetic oil and stabilizer, in a 40:1 and 50:1 ratio, can be used for 2-cycle engines such as chainsaws, leaf blowers and string trimmers. However, 4-Cycle Fuel, which is a mixture of ethanol free fuel and stabilizer, will be used for outdoor power equipment such as lawn mowers and pressure washers.

Ethanol-free fuel that does not require any additional mixing can be used with any gasoline engine is available at the stores of Lowe's Companies Inc. (LOW). These fuel blends stay fresh for up to two years after opening.

Milwaukee, WI-based Briggs & Stratton is the world's largest producer of gasoline engines for outdoor power equipment. The company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Briggs & Stratton Power Products Group LLC, is North America's number one manufacturer of portable generators and pressure washers, and is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of standby generators, along with lawn, garden and turf care products through its popular brands.

Other companies in the machinery and farm industry with favorable Zacks Ranks are Kubota Corporation (KUB) and AGCO Corporation (AGCO). While Kubota Corporation holds a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), AGCO Corporation carry a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). Briggs & Stratton currently retains a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).
