Cincinnati Bell’s New Online Service

Zacks

Regional communication service provider Cincinnati Bell (CBB) announced that Fioptics video customers – who are also subscribers of HBO and Cinemax – will now be able to watch HBO GO and MAX GO online. The subscribers will receive this facility for the two video channels without any additional charge.

With this new development, Fioptics clients can enjoy free unlimited access to the aforesaid channels any time and on any computer in the United States with the help of high-speed Internet connection. This online service is also available on Apple Inc.’s (AAPL) iPad, iPhone, iPod touch plus select Google Inc.’s (GOOG) Android-based gadgets.

Along with Xbox 360, Samsung Smart TVs Roku and Kindle Fire, subscribers of HBO GO – which offers over 1,700 programs online – can view all the episodes of every season of their favorite HBO shows including the ongoing series. Films, various sports, documentaries, specials telecast and a wide array of blockbuster theatricals are also included in HBO GO’s program list.

MAX GO – the sister arm of HBO – has more than 400 titles online and renders access to numerous Hollywood films, along with newly launched primetime dramatic shows like Strike Back.

The online service offers complementary benefits like a Watchlist – that keeps track of bookmarked content for later viewing, bonus content such as interviews, recaps and behind-the-scene moments. Further, customers have the option to personalize HBO GO via Series Pass that automatically alerts them about the arrival of new HBO programs.

Cincinnati Bell displays immense prospects in wireline operations, especially Fioptics products. We believe that these offerings will highly complement HBO and Cinemax’s On Demand viewing options and expand the foothold of Fioptics through increased popularity.

Cincinnati Bell – which was the first carrier in the U.S. to launch the high-definition Sony Xperia ZL smartphone from Sony Corporation (SNE) – holds a Zacks Rank #3 which is equivalent to a Hold rating.
