Emergency Communications Network acquires Global Connect’s Emergency Notification Contracts

PR Newswire

ORMOND BEACH, Fla., June 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Emergency Communications Network (ECN), the nation’s leading provider of high-speed multimodal communications, today announced its acquisition of Emergency Notification contracts of New Jersey-based Global Connect, a Web-based voice messaging provider. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The acquisition allowed ECN to integrate additional state and local government organizations to the company’s existing robust clientele, while allowing Global Connect to focus on business-to-business notification solutions for non-government agencies. Over the next several months, Global Connect Emergency Notification customers will be transitioned to the industry leading CodeRED high-speed notification solution.

“We have continued to invest in a great team, advanced technology and our infrastructure to support all the new members of our ECN family and the communities they serve,” said ECN President David DiGiacomo.

This is ECN’s fourth add-on acquisition in its partnership with billion-dollar global equity firm, The Riverside Company. In 2012, ECN acquired One Call Now’s Government Emergency Center / 911 clients, CityWatch, the providers of mostly hardware-based, integrated notification solutions and Jacosoft, the providers of the DeltAlert notification solution.
