Delta Air Lines (DAL) announced the start of new seasonal non-stop flights every Saturday from Dec 21, connecting various destinations. People interested in taking these services can book through the company’s website.

There will be a service between Minneapolis and San Jose utilizing The Boeing Company’s (BA) 180-seat 757-200 aircraft. This new itinerary will enhance Delta’s existing services between San Jose and Atlanta and Los Angeles. This service will make it convenient for customers of Costa Rica to access Delta’s global network as well as reach Central America.

Delta will also start flights between Los Angeles and Belize City that will be operated through 160-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft. With this service, Delta will be the only carrier having non-stop connectivity between these two locations.

Additionally, the Atlanta, Ga.-based airline will commence a service between JFK International Airport in New York and Guatemala City. The company will render the service via 124 seat Boeing 737-700 aircraft.

These services were launched to celebrate Delta’s 15 years of operations within the nation and abroad. The company also remained committed to develop the infrastructural facilities at numerous airports for the convenience of customers.

The $229 million expansion and enhancement of Terminal 5 at Los Angeles International Airport – slated to be fully complete in 2015 – will offer customers numerous amenities adding to their comfort.

There was a similar project, worth $1.4 billion, for the Terminal 4 at JFK International Airport. Being inaugurated on May 24, the new terminal now features nine new and seven renovated international gates; better and modernized check-in areas, a bigger and centralized security checkpoint. Flyers will also find extensive retail and dining options from some of the city’s top chefs and a well-spaced Delta Sky Club along with the first-ever Sky Deck rooftop terrace.

Delta, which operates in the airline industry with the likes of United Continental Holdings Inc. (UAL) and Southwest Airlines Co. (LUV), currently retains a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) rating.
