CareSpot is currently identifying even more locations in the Nashville area, with plans to open three additional centers by the end of the year. CareSpot plans to hire as many as 100 new employees for its centers in Middle Tennessee.

Strategy brings broad spectrum of care, convenience to the area

“These urgent care centers will complement healthcare services provided by our network of primary care physicians,” said Steve Corbeil, President of TriStar Health. “This partnership between TriStar Health and CareSpot offers patients the expertise of a proven network of urgent care centers combined with the broader resources of a large hospital system if a higher level of care is required.”

“With the placement of our headquarters here over a year ago, we have always had plans to develop the Nashville market,” said CareSpot CEO Michael D. Klein. “NeighborMD began in this area roughly two years ago and has grown to include five locations. We found their current center locations to be very complementary to our own plans and scope of services; NeighborMD also has a great reputation, so it became a natural fit for the type of convenient, high-quality healthcare we deliver.” NeighborMD CEO Gregory L. Burns added, “Beginning with the opening of our first center in Hermitage, our employees have been focused on delivering excellent patient care and outstanding customer service. Our management team is excited to give them this opportunity to be a part of extensive future growth with the CareSpot team.”

CareSpot delivers care tailored to Middle Tennesseans’ lifestyles

CareSpot centers will offer healthcare services for non-emergent medical problems that can develop unexpectedly and require immediate attention, filling the gap between primary care physicians and hospital emergency rooms. This includes care for flu, infections, migraines, sprains, cuts, bruises, burns and minor illnesses as well as immunizations, physicals, occupational health services and on-site IVs, X-rays and lab testing. Each center also includes a procedure room for more complex needs such as suturing and splinting. The new centers in Middle Tennessee will operate as CareSpot in partnership with TriStar Health. CareSpot will manage daily operations.

“Our goal is to provide convenient healthcare to customers in Middle Tennessee at locations that are close to home or work,” Klein said. “By having centers that are convenient to most neighborhoods in the Nashville area as well as nearby bedroom communities, such as Franklin, Murfreesboro, Lebanon and Hendersonville, we want to make it as easy as possible for people to access urgent care and well care.”

Convenience through online and mobile scheduling tools

“The primary differentiation that CareSpot brings to the table is the ease of interacting with health care,” Klein said. “When people visit CareSpot.com, the three centers located closest to them will display the approximate wait time (if there is one) so they can decide which center is most suited for their schedule. They can then use the website’s ‘Visit Now’ feature to save a spot in line immediately, much like a call-ahead service at a restaurant. Another option is to choose the ‘Visit Later’ feature to make an appointment for a future date, or simply walk into a center anytime.”
