Group Of Investors Acquires Important Stake In Aeromexico

— Banamex has sold more than half of its equity, retains a 17.91% stake

— Eduardo Tricio will be named Chairman of Aeromexico’s Board of Directors, while Valentin Diez-Morodo will be named Vice-Chairman.

MEXICO CITY, Feb. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Grupo Aeromexico, S.A.B. de CV (BMV: AEROMEX) has announced that a group of Mexican investors, led by Eduardo Tricio and Valentin Diez-Morodo, has acquired an additional 20.19% stake in Aeromexico that was previously owned by an affiliate of Banco Nacional de Mexico SA (Banamex). This group of investors is comprised of Aeromexico’s shareholders who had participated in the 2007 initial purchase of the airline and who have since remained invested in the Company.

Through this transaction, Mr. Tricio will be the only Board member to own more than 10% of Aeromexico’s outstanding shares. Banamex will continue to maintain a 17.91% stake in the Company.

Eduardo Tricio will be named Chairman of Aeromexico’s Board of Directors, while Valentin Diez-Morodo will be named Vice-Chairman. Andres Conesa will remain as the Company’s CEO.

Eduardo Tricio is currently Chairman of Grupo LALA’s Board of Directors. He graduated from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, and is a member of the of the Boards of Grupo Financiero Banamex, Grupo Televisa, Mexichem, Grupo Industrial Saltillo, Grupo Porres and the Mexican Stock Exchange. He is an active member of the Mexican Council of Businessmen and supports many important social causes and philanthropies.
