Leading paint and coatings maker The Valspar Corporation (VAL) has unveiled three color trend palettes for 2013. The color palettes – Simple Delights, Gathered Stories and Electro Noir – are a reflection of different fashion, food, design and culture and are geared to provide ample choices for people looking to decorate their homes.
Valspar stated that it will focus on three distinct color trends, which will be customized as per customer requirement. The color palettes will also offer sensory experience of new technology and leave customers with a simple yet beautiful experience. Colors in the palettes range from uplifting peaches, light-hearted pinks, glowing ambers, dusky blues and transparent greens.
Valspar also announced that it is launching the Valspar “Love Your Color Guarantee Celebration” a two-week guarantee program. The company will launch two Facebook programs – “Color of the Day Sweepstakes” and “Valspar Free Sample Coupon Giveaway” – starting January 14, where any new or existing Valspar Facebook fans can try the trend colors.
Valspar assures that everyone will find the color that they like with the “Valspar Love Your Color Guarantee” program by October 7, 2013. This is unique color assurance program is offering a complimentary replacement color to anyone who did not like their first color preference.
About a week ago, Valspar entered into a long-term strategic supply agreement with Ace Hardware Corporation, wherein it will manufacture and supply Ace branded paints as well as produce Valspar branded paints for 4000 Ace stores in the U.S. At the same time, Valspar also announced the acquisition of Ace Hardware’s paint manufacturing assets, including two manufacturing facilities located near Chicago.
