SANFORD, Maine, Dec. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Maine Manufacturing, LLC announced today that it has acquired from GE the assets of its laboratory filter and membrane business. The acquired portions of the business includes the recognized Cameo brand of syringe filters, capsule and cut disc filters; market-leading transfer membranes; and the widest range of flat sheet and roll stock microporous membranes in the industry. Maine Manufacturing will continue to manufacture these products at the Westborough, Mass., facility, which was previously operated by GE. Also acquired is the wide range of Polycarbonate and Polyester Track Etched Membranes that were previously produced in Bryan, Texas.
