LAWRENCE, Kan., Dec. 10, 2012
LAWRENCE, Kan., Dec. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Briggs Chrysler, a Lawrence Chrysler dealership, is happy to have recently gotten wind that Chrysler Group’s Board of Directors recently approved the creation of a charitable foundation to honor Chrysler Group CEO Sergio Marchionne.
Chrysler Group couldn’t be happier to create this foundation honoring their CEO, as Marchionne has continued to lead Chrysler Group on the right path by example and inspiration. To this day, Marchionne refuses compensation for his role as CEO of Chrysler Group.
Ronald L. Thompson, Chrysler Group’s Lead Director of the Board of Directors, talked about how deserving Marchionne is of this Foundation, stating that, “Sergio is an exceptional leader with the unique ability to inspire his people and lead change. Creating this foundation is a fitting tribute to all that has been accomplished at Chrysler. This foundation will ensure that the values and impact of his leadership will be felt by many others, while the structure ensures that funding for the foundation reflects Chrysler Group’s future success.”
Over the next five years Chrysler Group is projecting the donation amount to this foundation to value that of five million Chrysler units, with the initial contribution scheduled to begin in December of 2013.
