(“Gaz M tro”), through its subsidiary, Gaz M tro Plus Limited
Partnership (“Gaz M tro Plus”), announced today the sale of its entire
stake in HydroSolution which rents a large number of electric water
heaters. The sale, to a subsidiary of Groupe Confort Inc. for the sum
of about $45.5 million, will yield a profit of approximately
$14.6 million.

“The transaction is consistent with Gaz M tro’s strategy which is
focused on the distribution, transportation and production of energy in
Quebec and Vermont, and it will also improve Gaz M tro’s cash
position,” said Sophie Brochu, President and CEO of Gaz M tro.
