JERSEY CITY, N.J., June 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Knight Capital Group, Inc. (NYSE Euronext: KCG) today announced the promotions of Senior Managing Directors Leonard J. Amoruso, General Counsel, and Steven Bisgay, Chief Financial Officer, to Executive Vice Presidents.

Mr. Amoruso joined Knight in October 1999 and was named General Counsel in May 2007. He is responsible for all legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs for the firm. Since undertaking the role, Mr. Amoruso has overseen the continued build-out of the firm’s legal and compliance control structure, including corporate governance, supervision and surveillance. Mr. Amoruso has helped shape the firm’s global views on regulatory policy and remain an important part of the public discourse on key market structure initiatives.

Mr. Bisgay joined Knight in June 2001 and was named Chief Financial Officer in August 2007. He is responsible for all financial aspects of the firm, including accounting and taxation, risk management, treasury and capital management, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and business development. To support Knight’s expansion, Mr. Bisgay has overseen the development of Knight’s finance infrastructure, including financial controls and processes, treasury operations as well as market, credit and liquidity risk management.

Leonard J. Amoruso

Len Amoruso oversees all legal, compliance, regulatory and market structure matters at Knight and has more than 20 years of experience in the securities industry.

Mr. Amoruso has been General Counsel of the Company since May 2007. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Amoruso was the Senior Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer of the Company since June 2003. From October 1999 to June 2003, Mr. Amoruso served as Chief Compliance Officer and Assistant General Counsel of the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Knight Securities, L.P (now known as Knight Capital Americas, L.P.). Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Amoruso spent a decade with FINRA’s District 10 office in New York, most recently as Deputy Director. Mr. Amoruso serves on numerous industry committees and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. He also currently serves on the Board of Managers of Direct Edge Holdings LLC and is a member of the Boards of Directors of the Direct Edge Exchanges (EDGA Exchange, Inc. and the EDGX Exchange, Inc.).

Mr. Amoruso received a bachelor of business administration in banking, finance and investments from Hofstra University in 1986 and a juris doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 1989.

Steven Bisgay

Steve Bisgay is responsible for all financial aspects of the firm, including accounting and taxation, risk management, treasury and capital management, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and business development. He has more than 20 years of experience in the securities and financial services industries.

Mr. Bisgay has been Chief Financial Officer of the Company since August 2007. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Bisgay was the Managing Director, Business Development for the Company since November 2005. Previously, Mr. Bisgay was the Group Controller for the Company since June 2003 and the Director of Internal Audit for the Company since June 2001. Mr. Bisgay is a certified public accountant and was a Senior Manager in the Financial Services Industry Practice at the accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from 1989 to 2001. Mr. Bisgay served on the Board of Managers of Direct Edge Holdings LLC from July 2007 to December 2008, and currently serves as a member of the Finance and Audit Committee of the Board of Managers of Direct Edge Holdings LLC.

Mr. Bisgay received a bachelor of science in accounting from Binghamton University in 1989 and a master of business administration from Columbia University in 2000.
