DENVER, June 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Caerus Oil and Gas LLC (Caerus) announced today that it has purchased the Texas County, Oklahoma oil and gas assets of a major U.S. independent energy company for an undisclosed amount. The assets include over 300 wells and over 160,000 net acres of developed and undeveloped land, held by production. As a result of the transaction, Caerus anticipates it will hire up to seven professional and support staff to manage the assets.

Caerus is a Denver based, privately held, independent energy company engaged in the acquisition, development, exploitation and production of natural gas and oil. The company’s primary assets are located in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Wyoming, and include more than 360,000 net acres of land.
