E-commerce solutions provider Digital River, Inc. (DRIV) recently extended its U.S. e-commerce agreement with Tv maker Panasonic.
Under the new agreement, Digital River will support Panasonic’s VIERA Connect Market Expansion into the European continent. Based on the new agreement, Digital River is supporting purchases made via the VIERA Connect Market in twenty seven European countries, including Austria, Belgium, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands and the UK.
Management stated that, Panasonic’s global VIERA Connect Market when powered by Digital River’s commerce solution will provide users a comfortable easy-to-use e-store shopping experience wherein they can make purchases from their home only.
Meanwhile, Digital River Global Commerce cloud-based enterprise solution supports online marketing and sales of digital and physical products across international borders. This solution offers a wide-range of e-commerce features, including localization, fraud screening, and digital and physical fulfillment. The Digital River Global Commerce solution also handles local regulations, such as taxes, privacy issues, export laws, currency exchanges and recycling fees.
Earlier, Digital River introduced an expanded global e-commerce offering for games. Digital River has now added stand-alone online payments services and an in-game commerce solution to its game portfolio, which already includes its comprehensive e-store solution.
The total package is designed to enable game publishers and developers maximize their revenues across multiple digital channels and global geographies. Digital River’s e-commerce solutions help leading game developers and publishers support their digital monetization and online growth strategies.
