Walmart Offers Jobs in Wichita (COST) (TGT) (WMT)

Retail giant Wal-Mart Stores Inc (WMT) has announced to create 300 jobs for its five Walmart Neighborhood Markets stores in Wichita.

Walmart stated that they have started accepting applications from June 20 for both full-time and part-time positions and will employ associates for supervisory and other positions. Additionally, one of the hiring centers in Wichita will continue accepting applications from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays, and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays through Thursdays.

The Walmart Market will thus bring in new job opportunities in Wichita as the store will offer both full- and part-time positions.

Besides, the eligible full-time and part-time associates will get Walmart’s benefit program. The program will offer a number of health and well-being benefits including medical insurance with no lifetime maximum.

Further, Walmart offers matching 401(k) contributions of up to 6% of pay, discounts on general merchandise for store associates, a Sam’s Club membership for club associates, an Associate Stock Purchase Program and company-paid life insurance to the eligible associates. Moreover, the applicants will receive an annual incentive based on the company's performance.

Recently, Walmart also announced to create 15,000 jobs in South Africa within the next five years.

Walmart operates retail stores in various formats worldwide and faces stiff competition from Costco Wholesale Corporation (COST) and Target Corp. (TGT).
