NCR Corp. (NCR) recently announced that it has offered its self-service travel solution to Copa Airlines. Financial details of the deal were not divulged.

NCR’s self-service travel solution will help passengers to save check-in time with the help of a mobile-optimized site. The website –– m.copaair.com –– can be visited by boarders to access information regarding flight status. Boarders will also be able to check-in through the site and get an electronic boarding pass on their mobile devices.

The check-in solution is intended to enhance Copa customers’ travel experience and eventually boost its revenue stream. The solution will also free up employees handling the check-in process, allowing them more time for customers with more complex travel needs.

These days, travelers seek simple self-service kiosks for every operation like purchasing tickets, booking hotels and cars. NCR Corp., with its rich experience in serving the self-service sector, is making great strides in the travel industry. NCR’s quality, performance history and comprehensive support services make it a coveted name across a gamut of organizations.

In March, the largest North American provider of intercity bus transportation, Greyhound Lines selected NCR Corp.’s new self-service kiosk ticketing solution that will enable the passengers to buy tickets from the kiosk or get online delivery of the tickets.

Apart from travel self-service, NCR is moving forward with its retail self-service business. Recently, the self-service solutions provider installed its self-service BLOCKBUSTER-Express DVD Kiosks in more than 800 grocery stores operating under the Delhaize Group (DEG).

Strong performance across all segments at NCR led to solid first quarter results. Moreover, geographical contributions were also significant. We are also encouraged by the second quarter guidance, and believe that the company is well positioned to deliver solid momentum across all its businesses.

Currently, NCR Corp. has a Zacks #2 Rank, which translates into a short-term Buy recommendation.
