VERNON HILLS, Ill., June 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Rust-Oleum Corporation today announced that it has acquired certain assets of Multicolor Specialties Inc., a manufacturer of specialty coatings based in Cicero, Illinois. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Multicolor has annual sales of approximately $5.0 million. Its primary products are multi-colored coatings for architectural and small project applications. The architectural products are principally sold through paint stores, while the small project paints are sold through many do-it-yourself retail outlets.
