Eric Coffin of HRA Advisories joins Kitco News to discuss what it’s going to take to get some capital into the junior gold mining sector. Speaking about the 700 or 800 junior mining companies that have been supposed to disappear over the last few years, Coffin says not to underestimate the ability of some promoters. “I never underestimate the ability of promoters to hold these companies together, but I think it is fair to say that the number of companies that can actually go out and raise enough money to do meaningful work is maybe 200 or 300 out of the thousand plus floating around right now.” He points out that everyone needs to focus on the subset of companies with good management and good projects, and that’s where the smart money should go.
