Zacks

FTI Consulting, Inc. FCN, the global business advisory firm, appointed Mark Hunt to the post of Senior Managing Director in the firm's Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment.

Hunt will come aboard the Europe, Middle East and Africa ("EMEA") Financial Advisory Services leadership group, and will be based in London.

Hunt, a Senior Forensic Partner with over thirty years of experience, has dedicated himself to regulatory and financial investigations, expert determinations, audit and accounting negligence and accounting disputes. He holds valuable experience in dealing with complicated international disputes on behalf of both claimants and defendants, and is proficient in issues relating to complex financial instruments.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, he led the Financial Services practice of BDO, where his work included conducting FCA/PRA Skilled Persons Reviews. He was also a Partner at KPMG and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

As the regulatory environment continues to evolve, companies are set to grapple with progressively more complex business challenges. Mr. Hunt’s expertise will enrich the firm’s talent pool and prove to be a remarkable asset for the team.

FTI Consulting also recently expanded the North American Energy & Natural Resources industry team within its Strategic Communications segment, with the appointment of Kristina Moore as a Managing Director in Washington, D.C. and Brian Grove as a Managing Director in Houston. Their skill and experience in the field will assist FTI Consulting in safeguarding and augmenting the enterprise value of client firms.

FTI Consulting recently reported fourth-quarter earnings, in which it missed estimates by a huge margin, breaking its streak of beating earnings estimates. Soft revenues in the Economic Consulting and Strategic Communications segment, increased investments and tax adjustments dampened results, with adjusted earnings of just 4 cents per share lagging the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 34 cents by a whopping 88.2%.

FTI Consulting presently holds a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell). Some better-ranked stocks in the consulting industry include Corporate Executive Board Co. CEB, CRA International Inc. CRAI and Exponent Inc. EXPO, each holding a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
