Shaw Business – a division of Canadian cable TV behemoth Shaw Communications, Inc. (SJR) – plans to upgrade its Managed WiFi solution for clients operating in the hospitality industry. With the new Managed WiFi solution, hotels, inns, resorts, casinos and conference centers will be able to access Shaw Communications’ inimitable WiFi network and expertise.
The new offering, expected to be available from Jan 2015, will allow the hospitality industry to live up to the expectation of customers for fast Internet connectivity and hassle-free WiFi availability. Also, as per a recent study carried out by Cisco Visual Networking Index (VNI), over the next five years, global IP traffic is expected to amplify threefold. This naturally highlights the capability for hospitality businesses to direct their WiFi service aggressively.
Importantly, through this enhanced WiFi solution, Shaw Communications plans to provide its customers with access to a complete and ready-to-use WiFi solution that comprises a complimentary site design and analysis tools to detect the best WiFi solution for each location. This will help ensure that customers enjoy a speedy and steadfast Internet experience.
Furthermore, Shaw Communications' Managed Guest WiFi product consists of enhanced management tools to further improve operations over time. The service also provides clients with Internet access and an extensible WiFi solution that is customized exclusively for their business.
Shaw Communications is consistently working toward the expansion of its WiFi network. Moreover, as part of its promotional strategy, the company provided the residents of Sault Ste. Marie free access to its popular Shaw Go WiFi networks at nearly 900 hotspots, between Aug 25 and Sep 14, 2014. Notably, the Shaw Go WiFi facility fetches free WiFi at over 45,000 hotspots in Canada and free access to the network is included under all Shaw Communications’ Internet plans.
