Celanese Launches Clarifoil Anti-fog Film at Glasstec 2014

Zacks

Specialty materials company, Celanese Corporation (CE), has launched the Clarifoil Anti-fog Film at the Glasstec 2014 trade fair in Dusseldorf, Germany. This product is for use in architectural, commercial and high-end optical applications. It offers features like remarkable clarity to glass and mirrored surfaces, both in extreme cold and humid climates. It is also highly fog resistant and durable.

The Clarifoil Anti-fog Film is a combination of a strong layer of cellulose diacetate film and an exceptional clear adhesive. The cellulose diacetate provides resistance to fog, as the moisture, after passing through the film, eventually evaporates, offering a long-lasting anti-fog effect. Unlike Clarifoil film, other conventional anti-fog films wear away faster on coming into contact with fog.

Moreover, Clarifoil film is also resistant to most window cleaners and can also withstand ultraviolet rays. It is quite handy and can be easily applied with proper tools.

Clarifoil Anti-fog Film is ideal for a wide range of uses like architectural applications such as greenhouses, pool enclosures and skylights; commercial applications such as freezer doors and hotel bathroom mirrors; and optical applications such as visors and goggles.

Celanese has organized a demonstration of the properties of this anti-fog film on a mirror and a freezer door for the trade fair attendees. The authorities at Celanese believe that people will fall for the product once they see the anti-fog properties and durability of Clarifoil Anti-fog Film. Additionally, the company’s technical, sales and marketing representatives will be present for answering queries related to the product.

Celanese is a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) stock.
