RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Cross Platform Media, a Raleigh-based media company, today announced its recent acquisition of IRN/USA Radio Network (Information Radio Network).

Sam Hassell, CEO and president of Cross Platform Media, said the acquisition of the Memphis-based IRN/USA, rounds out the services of Cross Platform that is already deeply embedded in the national media space.

“We are very excited to make this announcement,” said Hassell. “We look forward to fulfilling the original vision of USA Radio Network by providing audience-engaging news and content to the independent and group station owners around the country.”

Marlin Maddoux, Christian and conservative broadcast pioneer, launched the USA Radio Network in 1985. Maddoux founded the long-running show Point of View in 1972 and later a national radio news service to stations not served by the major networks.

“We are very respectful of the Maddoux legacy and proud to continue syndicating Point of View, Daybreak USA, IRN/USA News and so many other significant programs,” said Hassell.

IRN/USA Radio Network currently produces and/or distributes more than twenty nationally syndicated radio programs with audience-targeted formatting primarily for News/Talk and Christian radio (commercial and non-commercial).
